Or it’s ‘lemmyworld’ or ‘announcements’ or the foreign-language equivalent of ‘main / meta / home’. I’m not saying it’s impossible, I’m just moaning that it’s not easier. While I’m complaining: a flag to indicate that it’s a ‘testing’ community would be nice too.
It’s a shame that there isn’t anything in a Community’s info (for the Lemmyverse crawler to pick up on) that indicates that it’s a ‘meta’ one for the instance (like home@lemmy.zip is) so it’d be easy to filter out.
Most of their communities look to be German, but their biggest one - !europe@feddit.org - is English language only

I’ll admit to assuming he must be kind of a cool nerd for naming some of his SpaceX things after Culture ships (from Iain M. Banks’ novels), but now I feel sullied by association from having enjoyed the same books.
If they’re just looking for the word ‘lemmy’ in the URL, link to the version of the post from an instance that doesn’t have ‘lemmy’ in. E.g. for this post, instead of https://lemmy.ml/post/19458783, link to https://piefed.social/post/208919 or some even more obscure platform.
On lemmy.ml, it’s showing that your post has been made in the ‘afaraf’ language btw, so most people won’t see it, and it’s probably worth fixing with an edit.

More and more stuff won’t feature as instances continue to upgrade to 0.19.4, as lemmyverse.net doesn’t yet support it (there was something like 582 instances listed yesterday on there, it’s 572 now).
The instance I’m on is defederated from links.hackliberty.org. I’m not certain why, but I looked at it to find it’s a place for conspiracy theories, including ‘9/11 Truth’ stuff, so it’s probably that.
There looks to be a bit of indecision about the right instance for a new ‘privacy’ community, so I’m just mentioning this in regard to that.
Nothing yet for today (Sunday), because the crawler at lemmyverse has failed. More info is here: https://github.com/tgxn/lemmy-explorer/actions/runs/9434433542/job/25986550190 - it’s bailed because there are 6011 communities missing from that run compared to the previous one. I’ve seen that number before, which suggests it’s a single instance with that many communities which is failing to give a response.
EDIT: the midday run worked though.
Most people will be unaffected ('cos their instance already has a copy), but trippingthroughtime has a broken outbox, so it won’t come with old posts if it’s a fresh discovery. Issue should be fixed in Lemmy’s 0.19.4 update.
