You and what army?
If AI bros were serious about existential risk and problems of alignment instead of attempting to form a cult of technobabble to make themselves superior and scrounge for venture capital… They’d pull the plug.
Altman is selling what he alledges he dreads more than anything: AI that would lie to you without a second (or even first) literal thought.

Agreed. Tossing whole music niches to AI would be sad. “Generic restaurant Greek music” is… still music. Still traditional, historied, HUMAN singing and art. Just because you (original commenter) don’t care doesn’t mean no one else does. I want to hear humans sing. Not algorithms.
Nah I pay for art. Even music I don’t like is art. Even really bad music. AI music is just fraud shit out by the machine.
Hang on a second. Orson Scott Card is a homophobic motherfuck. What’d NS do that is so bad?
Why do you tolerate the moving of your countrymen into any camp?
Out of sight out of mind? There is no such thing. Any time we are dealing with undesirables, it’s out of sight and dead. That’s why we scream genocide. Historically, that’s how it starts.
Homes for the homeless. Never camps. Never “tent cities.”
The moral obscenity is that it’s been 70 years since the holocaust and we still won’t admit when a genocide is happening if it’s at all inconvenient for us until we’ve personally toured the camps and seen the human soot. The victims of genocide wait for Kock-funded, glue huffing NYT columnists to agree amongst themselves, and the wider consensus of respected Kock-money takers, to agree that a thing is genocide. Colonial India. Apartheid. Vietnam and Cambodia. Iraq and Afghanistan. We’ll always be waiting on evil fuckwhits at the New York Times and the Atlantic and so on to agree that people are dying because other people really fucking loathe them and consider them bugs. But GOD FORBID we be semantically incorrect as to the degree of wanton murder and the bombing of refugee corridors.
Little Nazi shitbags.
If what’s happening is broad incompetence, it is genocidal in its disregard for human life, and the IDF should be turned inside out at the Hague.
This is quite obviously a bot. I derive no pleasure in the fact it’s propaganda slogans hit at core truths, I merely urge my bruhs: consider the motive behind an account that thinks you’re stupid enough to miss its complete inability to come off as human.
He plagues gaming communities, how terrible. Take away his autonomy!
Listen to yourself. He needs meds and house arrests at most. I do not propose to know how to discourage a compulsive hacking disorder, but why on Earth should a judge sentence him to imprisonment on behalf of Rockstar for a leak?
Between this and Nintendo basically enslaving that one guy by garnishing his wages for the rest of his life, game companies are getting way too comfortable using the law like a cudgel, just because they can. No fucking video game content being leaked justifies a game-shitter-outer to be able to do this. Guess I’ll be boycotting.
Interesting, thank you for the reply. I am not a hacker nor a gnostic but I have a slight fascination with the latter. But on hacking: while there’s merit to your position that hacker culture is reactionary I have to ask what do you think of hacker collectives like the one that leaked Project 2025 or other noble computer nerd activities? It seems to me like a hacker is exercizing another avenue of power over her world like jumping or singing. Thinking the online world is seperate and intangible from our non-online experience seems to be making the mistake of dualism in upholding one sphere of reality over the other/s.
