I do know Watson wanted to be a Browns player because of Kevin (yeah, and the money) and it’s probable Kevin’s tenure has been extended because of his QB’s likely ceiling.

What made you become a Browns fan? The Kardiac Kids maybe?

Because it’s been nagging at the back of my brain I’m coming back to this 59 years; did you witness the Browns last NFL Championship??

A few years ago I started asking at work for whiskey/whisky recommendations, and Makers Mark was the first. Hated it (neat, with water, ice cubes, chilled…) but gave the remaining 7/8 of a bottle to the guy who suggested it. Every whiskey I’ve been recommended I’ve disliked and overall practically given away. (Żubrówka Polish Bison Grass Vodka paired with cloudy apple juice on the other hand, I kept).

Anyway, bear in mind I went through most of the popular Scottish whiskies on the way to Laphroaig (culminating with the 15 year old when it was available and affordable!) I decided I needed to broaden my horizons as my wallet began to shrink.

After Makers Mark came Woodford Reserve, Bulleit, Four Roses, most of the JD ‘alcopops’ (especially well-received as birthday presents) Wild Turkey. I’d have all again. I saved a list of some of the whiskies that are mentioned here from time to time and had some of those too.

The thing is, Makers Mark is by far the worst for me, and given the bottle ‘aesthetic’ I thought I’d like it the most. Took me forever to get into the bottle though, there’s got to be a knack in getting the seal off.

I also hate Hersheys chocolate. :)

Wow. Was there ever a time - at 10 times how long I’ve been a fan - that you looked hard at your Browns fandom and thought “no, enough is enough”?

I’m not a fan of Makers Mark but it’s probably my uneducated palate speaking. However something made me sniff the glass the morning after my only bottle, it’s something awesome I’ve never experienced with any other brand, it’s just so deliciously rich and aromatic.

Maybe I should try to make candles from it? ;)

September 11 2004 I had a choice of going down to watch OSU or sticking close to Wauseon and watching BGSU. I chose the shorter drive to BGSU simply because I wasn’t feeling well.

That weekend I watched Wauseon win, BGSU win, and the icing on the cake, the Browns beat the ratbirds, sure ever since have occasional twinges of regret, but I’ll get over it. Memories.

Whatever it is I hope Game Pass International carries some of the pregame show, it’s been a while since I tuned in early.

Hate to see it, he’s been terribly unlucky hasn’t he.

However, thinking this season might be our best opportunity I’ve bets on us reaching the playoffs (still probable after Watson?), winning the division (unlikely now unless Jackson fades), and the AFC and Super Bowl (possible, who knows).
