  • Debian 11 uses X11 as default if you uses KDE. And it is still super is super easy to change from Wayland to X11 in KDE IN Debian 12.

    X11 might be abandoned at this point in time. But it still works well. Wayland still don’t work as well as X11 so I will be using X11 for the next few years.

    I plan to test Waland in Debian 13 that will be released in 2025. If Wayland is still broke then I will continue using X11. I don’t think X11 will be going anywhere anytime soon since Wayland has so many issues





  • I think this will take years before we will see this happening. It is recently that Debian dropped support dor 565 CPUs. There was a headed discussion back then about when Debian would drop the 32 bit architecture. I don’t expect that to happen doing the next 10 years. Let alone 32 multi architecture support (installing 32 bit stuff on a 64 but version of Debian). I think it would be nice to see a full 64 bit version but I don’t think that will be happening any time soon
