You could check out Zeppelin. They start at about $300 and some models are absolutely gorgeous. Mostly quartz in the lower price range, but some automatics around the 1k range as well. I own two, you can check them out in my post history.

The dial is actually a light blue color, but it’s so hard to capture for some reason. But yes, it’s gorgeous!

You’re right about the polishing, it really does look particularly amazing in real life.

As for the ignorant comments, I haven’t encountered those but, living in Switzerland, I am expecting a few condescending remarks down the line haha. I couldn’t care less though. Real enthusiasts appreciate the watch for what makes it stand out I suppose. I also love my Omega, my Breitling and my IWC, each for their own reasons.
