I highly recommend avoiding this rhetoric because you will end up paying more for inferior hardware.
You are not actually “doing yourself a favor.”
I highly recommend checking out https://old.reddit.com/r/LaptopDeals/ daily until you find something that meets your needs and budget.
It’s the only example I know of where communists make an honest attempt to reduce the disparity in wealth rather than exacerbate it.
I’d recommend Mint or Manjaro for family computers.
Probably Mint, just because Pamac still has issues.
Fedora is a bad choice because you’re stuck in the dnf ecosystem with no real benefit.
I’m a firm believer that the only value in Fedora is for Red Hat. Their shills are the ones who promote it over more practical options.
No, you see, additional layers of abstraction are always a good thing. Haven’t you been paying attention to the latest software memes? /s
I’m a firm believer that the vast majority of things we needed for software were implemented by the 2000s.
Usually, people who don’t understand what they’re doing will overcomplicate things to cover-up their misunderstandings. I think choosing a technology before you have a use-case is one of these examples.
They’ve been working on the same software for 20+ years?
Woah.
Eh, I always discredit people when they say X is bad.
It’s been around for over 20 years. That kind of longevity should be praised.
I think my PS3 still works, although I haven’t used it in awhile.
Lol, I was thinking the same thing. I agree with what he’s saying, but he just looks like he’s punching air when nobody is doing what he’s accusing them of.
Seriously. Everyone should play older games even if they’ve played them before.
You’d be surprised how well they hold up and are even better than most games released today.
Piracy is a service problem if you have more money than sense or want the disparity in wealth to grow.
It’s a monetary one otherwise, hence why piracy is the norm outside of 1st world countries.
Oh yeah, I forgot about that. It all makes sense now.
Just another one of gnome’s ridiculous design decisions, lol.
Part of me thinks they’re being paid by Apple and Microsoft just to keep the Linux desktop shit.
Part of me legitimately thinks Trump, West, and Musk are geniuses but not in the way most people expect.
They’re masters of controversy. They have no conscience and are willing to say whatever will keep them in the news the longest.
They’re all brands, and their controversy is just free advertising.
Raising wages just causes prices to go up faster.
Unfortunately, they’re right about this one because democrats are in on it too.
There’s no propaganda in America.
promptly fires everyone who criticizes Israel
“Piracy is a service problem.”
“Unused RAM is wasted RAM.”
“Communism doesn’t work.”
Pretty much any pasty-faced white boy talking point is a load of malarkey.
The Whisker menu in XFCE and Cinnamon start menus are GODSENDS to new users.
I needed them so badly when I was first getting started in Linux because I didn’t even know what programs I had installed.
“Oh no, we’re getting paid to do this thing instead of some other thing.”
Part of having a job is working on things that need to be worked on, not because they’re fun.
