There was some pretty good defense played on Grant in the 3rd and 4th quarters, he was just having a night. Nesmith was damn near in his shot on one of those and he still hit the 3. I don’t agree that throwing a rook into a no-win situation is “no worse” or helps his growth. At least guys with experience can deal with it better and should have short term memories.

Parade? Hell no. And that is from a team that hasn’t won anything since the ABA days. Ceremony before the next home game with extra fanfare that I’ll actually attend, instead of rolling from a bar 5 minutes before the tip? Absolutely! Banner? Idk, maybe.

I’ve enjoyed the hell out of the run my team is making and will be enjoying it even more during that quarterfinal game at home in a week or so. YMMV depending on how your team does, but that is the case regardless of this tournament.

I know the Pacers have 0% chance of winning The Finals this year, but this is fun to see a young team making some noise and getting experience with higher stakes ball. And don’t discount that 500k for any player. Sure they make millions, but you wouldn’t get up for an equivalent bonus your boss gave you at work? Or are you like “nah, no thanks” and just dick around?
