The entire Gitkraken suite used to be free before 2016. The free tier you get now is a severely crippled version of what it used to be.

Biome has been really nice so far. I’ve made the switch about a year ago, and outside of tooling issues, that are pretty much long gone, there’s nothing to complain about.

Since you have Nautilus, i’m assuming you have the rest of GNOME too.

GNOME Settings should have a default apps tab, so you should be able to change it from there.

Otherwise, org.gnome.desktop.default-applications.terminal exec 'desired-terminal', and obviously don’t forget to swap that for whichever one you want to use

I know more than a handful of developers who religiously refuse to learn version control systems, and barely know how to operate a computer in general. It’s more of a mindset issue

Sure, there are a ton of frameworks, and you could write all of that in vanilla JS if you wanted to. But the issue lies here. My job is to make a product, and by using an existing framework, I can save countless hours of work. People incomprehensibly smarter than me have made that process so much smoother.

No one is asking, let alone forcing you to use any framework out there.
