yeah, once you get into these record breaking things with incredible materials, I would say all bets are off when it comes to price. an it does seem that they have put in the work to justify the price, regardless of how ridiculous it is to pay more to get less :D
in a world where we can’t agree what in house even means, it’s way overplayed. a good movement is a good movement
Well, two things on that. Most Orients sell for under msrp. And, more importantly, i’m likely wrong on the price. Orient is horrible at revealing details. Nothing on their website. Very sparse info in their press releases. So i got this from a british website that usually gets it right. But could be completely wrong 😃

The FC is today’s winner for me, I just wish they made more bold colorways as part of the standard line because this is outstanding.

I’m not sure I like this Glashütte Original, the way the elements are arranged bothers me somehow and it’s strange saying that about a GO.

Ming is beautiful always but I dislike titanium watches because they are too light; at the New York event yesterday they demonstrated that this watch weighs less than two pieces of paper and frankly, I want to feel the watch there.
I would agree, I also love hefty watches. But I like when someone goes crazy and builds something like this. Would I buy it if I wanted to spend so much on a watch right now? Absolutley! Would I enjoy wearing it? Yea, for a day or two :D

hm, yeah. affordable fume is kind of elusive. it’s hard to do it right. oris, rado, longines, they’re all there at a simmilar price point, but very few nice ones I can think of in the sub 1,000 range. I happen to like the Maen, but fume is so very much personal how much you like it
One of the reasons why i really like the Lorier from yesterday’s edition is the dive bezel and 24-hour scale on the rehaut. Very cool setup
