  • Don’t remind me. I need a PVM to go with it. 😅 Although, I actually like the 240p composite video on the Trinitron TV, it looks exactly like it did back-in-the-day and indistiguishable from the real consoles’ composite output.

The Lakka image I’m using is well-tuned with noticably less lag than some Pi setups I’ve seen. Interested Pi owners can find it here.

I can’t find it, but someone has been collecting stats on input lag for many different USB gamepads/controllers as well.

I was shocked at how badly I was playing Symphony of the Night on a PS Vita TV with a DualShock 4… it turned out to be the input lag… of an real Sony controller on a real Sony console. Connect it by USB cable - noticable lag went away. 🤬

  • My bad. Well, obviously Motorola has 14 configured and available for this device, so I don’t know what to tell you.

Luckily, my gov’t now forces providers to un-network-lock devices after a certain waiting period (60 days?), and the bootloader seems to be unlockable! I’m not feeling like a slave, just paying more for the phone than what I signed up for.

Edit: I’ll always trust Motorola over, say, Samsung, where the Galaxy S-whatever (US version) and the same name device (International version) even have a completely different processor!

  • Thanks for replying, everyone! This project is temporarily on hold; downloading and sha256sum-ming some different isos led me to discover that my main system has a RAM issue. 🤦

I just learned to not trust motherboards’ automatic RAM voltage setting; only one of four sticks seems to be sensitive to the apparent undervoltage that it was running on.

Edit: I hope that whoever designed the style of RAM slot that has a latch on only one side stubs their toe every day for the rest of their life.
