Cybersecurity@sh.itjust.works•Microsoft Edge loads all your saved passwords into memory in cleartext — even when you’re not using them; Microsoft will not fix, says the behavior is "by design"English
14·1 month agoEdge is the only Chromium‑based browser I’ve tested that behaves this way. By contrast, Chrome uses a design that makes it far harder for attackers to extract saved passwords by simply reading process memory.
It decrypts credentials only when needed,
From the article abstract in the OP
It’s not the new name but an alternative. I guess it will have to fit where GIMP does, so it’s better to have the same amount of letters.
Glimpse is already taken by an abandoned fork that simply changed the name.
ΟΥ in Greek makes sounds like oo as in look, wood etc. It does not lead with a γ sound that would make Uranus sound naughty.
Of course it should also end in -os as -us is a Latin ending.

safety_checker is indeed an ai image content check that ships with ComfyUI. There are two instances of it under the ComfyUI directory. Nowhere else on my $HOME
fsdpy_utils is also part of ComfyUI, it’s a module to help run models (not a model itself those are huge). ComfyUI is a webUI to run AI stuff, so it’s expected to be found there. It’s not found anywhere else on my $HOME
cachetools/func.py is a module providing cache not a tty. It exist in other Python software that I 've installed. No random instances of it all over $HOME either
You are probably asking an AI chatbot to produce drivel with technical terms you 've seen online to troll this community. It’s probably convincing to people who are unfamiliar with python, ai or linux but it does not pass inspections by anyone familiar with these things.

17·4 months agoCue 5 forks launching, none of which is going to last the year (most of them a week).
Windows was already copyrighted and registered with the office before ai code was introduced.
The copyright office refusing to register the version with ai code does not affect the already registered copyright.
The version with ai code is a derivative product of the registered version so M$ will get you for copyright infringement.
Not considering this obvious context makes the Twitter poster completely unreliable.
There’s still copyrighted code in windows, so no this is bullshit.
Code contains a lot of elements that are not copyrightable (elementary maths etc), that does not prevent the overall program from being copyrighted.

3·4 months agoI never acted as if the Russians are guiltless for invading Ukraine, it’s you that’s acting as if Americans are guiltless for invading Iraq. That said both peoples are still human.
Care to explain why you disregard the invasion of Iraq that’s already happened and focus on a hypothetical invasion of Canada or Greenland?

There certainly exists Russian military personnel that did not serve outside Russia. I bet you would not consider them as innocent as your friend.
Yeah you sure are good at determining my ‘stupid games’, you really got me there buddy. At least I know what to tag you.
Tag me a Russian shillbot if it makes you feel better.

156·4 months agoLet’s see, last time I checked Russia was releasing violent criminals to fight in Ukraine. You go ahead and find me a modern comparison from the U.S., I’ll wait.
I don’t have to play your stupid games. The vast majority of Russian soldiers are/were not convicts but either people who voluntarily joined their country’s army to make a living like your friend did or civilians who were drafted/conscripted. Most of them also did not kill or rape anyone like your friend. They probably would say they swept snow in a snowstorm instead.
Yet they still enable Russia’s attack on Ukraine. So did your friend with regards to USA’s attacks on Iraq, Afghanistan etc. Your friend is not better than them because he is your friend nor because he is American.

They had female B ports and you usually connected them to the PC with a male B to male A cable.
Thumbstics forego the cable for easo of carrying so they provide what the cable would, USB A male for the host.
