Shaw wearing 32 to 34 to 32. Seems like only 32s in Florida.
He needs at least another ring - nobody in the consensus top 10-12 has less than 2. Another ring + 3-4 more all star appearances for longevity would still just put him near or outside the top 12. 2 more rings + 3-4 more all stars would cement top 10. Even just 2 more rings and 1-2 more all stars wouldn’t cut it - almost everyone in the top 10-12 has 10x all stars.
Magic was okay with letting Malone take number 32 but Malone decided not and used 11. You can still find a pic from the press con with Malone holding up a 32 jersey.
Pretty much story of the franchise since 1980s. Pretty mid, never a contender but frequently in playoff mix, never really sucking too much (except for early 2000s).
He is absolutely useless. A Tony Snell, PJ Tucker 0/0/0/0/0 would be more positive for the team cuz at least they wouldn’t be taking shots and possessions away from better players.
What is he thinking? Does he know he sucks or not.
Klay for prime Shaq, prime Jordan. Why not?
Vince Carter and Tmac were supposed to be the next big thing. They had some great early years and ended up as perennial all stars, some All NBAs, but never really a MVP candidate. Carmelo too, was suppose to be the Bird to Lebron’s Magic, had an argument as ROY over Bron, but never made the leap to a MVP caliber player.
When its not as early
Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis on Sonics and Heat. Pierce and Garnett on Celtics and Nets (although they were traded together, sort of cheating). Horace Grant and Shaq on Magic and Lakers.
He’s a clown now but Agent 0. His 3 year prime is just as good as anyone’s and he went toe to toe with Kobe at Kobe’s peak.
Joe Johnson. 7x All Star and 20k points is probably going to make it. Don’t see the Hawks retiring his.
