The only thing is you have to see both places you want to put the portal. So you could open a portal at home, then Uber to the grocery store (don’t want to leave your car!) Then get your shit and open the portal and go home. But now you have to close the portal so people from the grocery store aren’t walking into your kitchen.
Same for work. You can’t leave a portal open at work all the time unless you want other people seeing and/or walking into your living room. It would be fun, but only so useful.
