Duke Nukem Forever so help me God I did, in fact, beat this game, and thankfully remember very little of it.

Robocop: Rogue City does this well while still being a game with gamey challenges. Robo is not a God, and he does get hurt and face tough bosses, but every criminal in detroit knows and fears Robocop.

Batman: Arkham games also do this well.

I think AW2 and Lies of P have good odds of being nominated as well, the rest not so much, granted I don’t know how much being a “remake” counts in these things.
