FC Bayern Munich reported record revenue and a significant year-on-year increase in profit in the past financial year. The Group’s total revenue for the 2022-23 season totalled €854.2 million, while consolidated earnings before taxes (EBT) more than tripled, rising from €17.1 million to €54.5 million. The Group’s net profit for the year rose accordingly to 35.7 million euros, an increase of 23 million euros compared to the previous season.

Jan-Christian Dreesen, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of FC Bayern München AG: "This is a strong result. There is hardly any other top European club that has been able to report consistent profits like FC Bayern over the past three years despite the pandemic. This is anything but a matter of course and is primarily to do with FC Bayern’s DNA: We never spend more than we take in. Thanks to our fans returning to our Allianz Arena for home matches and the support of our partners, we significantly exceeded the previous year’s result and our forecast for this financial year. It was an exceptionally good financial year for FC Bayern under difficult conditions.

The effects of the pandemic, the consequences of the war in Ukraine, the energy crisis and the resulting inflation will also have a significant impact on the current 2022/23 financial year. Despite these negative factors, FC Bayern expects a further significant increase in sales and a positive operating result.

All of our employees have made a great contribution to the successful conclusion of the past financial year. I would also like to thank my colleagues on the Executive Board and the entire Supervisory Board for their collegial and trusting cooperation."
