I agree I like geno and his story and despite some bad plays he’s overall a decent mid level qb. Things could be much worse but we really need a young future qb.

I agree. I think geno isn’t horrible but not a long term solution. It definitly could be worse at qb but things could be a lot better. The beginning of the year we were scoring a lot. Now we can’t even get a touchdown. I do think we have a good enough team and decent enough record to not make drastic decision and throw the season away. But they have to, and quickly turn it around if they want to make playoffs. We have too much talent it’s sad to see these major struggles. I think the OC could be a reason for the play calling and should be looked at seriously for being replaced. They need some change and firing Pete or dropping Geno isn’t the answer either. Just a few weeks ago we were a top 10-12 team in power rankings and we’re playing well. But the team is going on a steep decline. What’s worse is we have a gauntlet schedule and are playing against potential suberbowl caliber teams and we just aren’t there yet. This season is slipping away quickly but I still have hope.
6-8 record incoming
That’s my biggest fear and I’m not ruling that out. I think we are better than that but I am worried about how we are going to show up tomorrow. Our general game plan should be short quick passes and up the tempo. I’d actually prefer us to play bad the first half because we seem to always have one good half and when we come out and do good I always say to my dad uhhho because we can never complete a full game like that and end up losing. But tbh if we can just play a competitive prime time turkey bowel game I’ll be happy. The win will be the extra sauce lol
They need to play up tempo. When they are in 2 minute drills geno moves the ball and dk comes alive. They can’t play it safe and predictable against San Fran. Or any of these upcoming teams tbh
The season isn’t over yet and we still have a winning record. Also really every year there’s only two or three teams that are completely solid Super Bowl level teams. Then there’s like that middle ground where most teams land where they play decent, have good players, play competitively and etc. then the bottom tier which is complete trash and a while from having a good team. It’s easy to get hard on our team since we care about it but when watching other games I have notice a lot of the same stuff the Seahawks go through but it just seems worse when we watch our team lol
I hate having games be determined by refs, especially stupid calls. They should be there to monitor and call obvious things but they honestly the league needs to do something to fix the ref problem. Most games have horrible game changing calls that change the outcome and it’s honestly annoying. Why can’t they review certain penalties? I know it could be annoying but if the penalty really isn’t a penalty then it shouldn’t be called.
Well let’s see how lock does. Can maybe solve the lock vs geno argument one way or other
This is a good take on it that I didn’t think about, but I do think deep down they wanna win and it’s actually better for him long-term to do good and make the playoffs even if he loses out on one of the incentives. Because if he can continue to play all right and make the playoffs, it just extends his time here until we get a younger quarterback who’s up and ready.
I think more player contracts need to have heavy incentives like this. I know some players work their ass off and prove they’re good, but I have seen a lot of people get that monster contract and their performance dips quite a bit. It really just makes sense like why should you get paid 40 million and play complete trash like Russ last year for example. It also keeps players motivated and if I were in genos shoes it’s an extra push to ball out. I know the players don’t want to lose and they want to win and try their hardest to make the playoffs and etc. but I mean money is a huge motivator too and if I could earn an extra $10 million it would definitely light a fire under my ass.
Return of the Sonics Forsure. I love football and winning the whole thing is amazing but only a small moment. Having a sport team back is way more memories and entertainment. Miss going to a basketball game it aaa so fun.
Damn that’s crazy it’s been that long. Time flys by.
Refs can’t have Dallas and Kc lose lol
