Try finding a book that paints a very good visual picture to help you transition, and in a medium you like for instance if you really like SiFi pick a SiFi themed book or whatever your into.
Not SiFi but I’d recommend The Contortionist Handbook, in the first 5/10 pages it’ll hook you and give a very detailed feeling of the start of a crime drama that makes you really wanna know what happened.
It’s also a not a very long book so it’s not super intimidating to pick up.
