A big one for me is DBZ. Look Masako Nozawa is an extremely talented woman. I appreciate her. But having her voice both the child and adult version of Goku and Gohan makes zero sense. The voice fits perfectly when they are children, but when they are 5’10" and built like an NFL player it makes no sense that they sound like a 6 year old child.

The English dub made the correct choice in switching VAs from young to adult versions. And yet I constantly see the English dub criticized because of Frieza’s voice being a little odd. I would much rather have an odd sounding Frieza than a wrong sounding Goku and Gohan.

There are plenty of cases where the Japanese VA is off but weebs don’t criticize it because they aren’t familiar with the language. Like Nozawa voicing adult Goku and Gohan as if they would still have the same voice they had when they were 6 years old.
