I have a cool blog I made for class with lots of techy stuff. Can you check it out and tell me what you think?
We absolutely won the war on terror in Afghanistan.
Osama bin Laden tried to show that he was the scariest terrorist, and the US military took that personally and wasn’t willing to give up the crown. So, for a decade before his death, and a decade after, we spent trillions of dollars to make sure that a bunch of nice, lovely shepherds would shit themselves with fear if they’re at a wedding or funeral and hear the sound of an airplane in the distance.
The goal was to make the most terror right? Did I move the goalposts enough that the US still wins?
I find that when you know how to use Github, Github is pretty easy and close to perfect for what it is, a code repository.
I think that most people who stumble across a Github link through a Google search, probably like in the original post, want to treat it like an app store. The read.me is the description, so they can tell it kind of does what they need, but they’re missing a big, green download and install button.
The problem with github isn’t really a problem. It’s just accessible enough to borderline tech people who want a one click solution to a problem. They can find it, but using it requires more skill than they have. It’s a code repository, not an app store. The most useful things I find on github aren’t from some massive app developer, they’re from some guy who happened to have the same problem as me. Rather than screaming at that guy for an executable, level up. Learn something.
Seems like kind of a groupie. I bet she’s fucking Matt Damon.
This is it. The 2nd string tight end was in for that play and whiffed on the block that led to the fumble. Kelce was screaming “Leave me in, leave me in,” which is a fair point because he’s a monster blocker. I’d give the edge to Kittle for blocking, but still really good.
If an LLM is just regurgitating information in a learned pattern and therefore it isn’t real intelligence, I have really bad news for ~80% of people.
I feel like wokeness in general requires empathy and understanding of the plight of others. Anti-woke means being unempathetic, and folks feel that is positive? I literally can’t comprehend being for Team Sociopath, but millions of people will vote for Trump, so it’s real.
For real. Diversity could easily be considered antithetical to racism. Inclusion could be considered antithetical to sexism. But no, Chef Elon made pseudo-intellectual word salad.
But, “Worlds grossly richest man not big on equity” feels like an Onion article title.
I feel like all gaming mice are terrible, except for maybe a few. I usually buy more office/corporate centered mice because they’re usually more ergonomic and robust. I love the Logitech MX Vertical for work, and the MX Ergo for the couch. Both have been going strong for years. But the most intense game I play is Civ V, so your mileage may vary.
For real. It’s been at least top 3, and arguably top 2, for scifi my entire life.
Star Trek has been at the top for nearly 60 years. In the US at least, you can turn over a rock anywhere and find a Star Trek fan.
My wife is a teacher, so we use her healthcare, but I still peek in at the healthcare at my job when enrollment comes along, just to be diligent.
It went up 20% this year, from $600 to $720. If you make $30K a year and got a 3% cost of living adjustment, you make less this year than last year from healthcare alone.
Food, gas, rent, cars, childcare, utilities, everything is up. I guess it’s cool that US steel or something might be doing well, and the stock market is up, but that minimally affects the day to day of most people.
