I don’t understand why I’m seeing shit thrown at either Pickett or Trubisky for this game on here. Their performance was thoroughly okay, not particularly great but not particularly bad.
This game is like 90% on Tomlin and coaching once again failing to have this team prepared to play and once again playing down to their opponents.
If Johnson wouldn’t have dropped that TD, I feel like I’d feel way better about their offense today. It really is moving the ball well.
This game should be 17-7 right now.
They should absolutely be getting rid of Johnson after the year. He’s not good enough for the drama he creates.

If they draft another QB, they’re downright morons.
They’re a win-now team that doesn’t have the patience to develop a young QB or let him work through his growing pains. If they move on from Pickett, they need to go after an established QB. They’re just going to ruin another QB prospect if they draft another QB.
Rudolph sucks and it’s absolutely bizarre that there is people here who defend him.
That’s not a defense of Pickett, but the love affair this place has with Rudolph is completely bizarre. He stunk when the Steelers gave him a chance in 2019.
If/when Pickett ends up a bust, the Steelers are going to become the prime example of “how to not develop a QB”.
His confidence is completely shot at this point and he’s just playing to not turn the ball over. He already has flaws as a QB that limits him, but him being scared to make a mistake is making him an even less effective QB.
Anyone blaming either Mitch or Kenny on this game is out to lunch. Neither were anything special but both were completely fine today.
A 66% completion% with 200 yards and 1 TD isn’t anything special of a QB performance between the two, but it’s absolutely not a performance that causes you to lose games.
