I think RADV is what I’m using. I’ll have to double check, as it’s been a long time since messing with the drivers.
Appreciate it. Is there a gui for LACT? (I worry so much that I’d mess things up when it’s a config file). Would you be able to share your configs?
Thank you.
Not being dismissive, just expressing an interest in something different.
That is being maintained by the kde team.
Some people like it, I don’t like and will never mess with it. I do understand why some folks like it. It’s basically for those who want a system that’ll never break to a point where they can’t access their data. I just can’t use it
Neon isn’t arch based, which is why this one piqued my interest.
Man, I almost want to say “I love it”. Remove the “snap” and the “immutable” and I’m all in.
Almost there 🤏🏽
I couldn’t agree more, bud your last statement seals it. You WILL like it. Lol
I don’t think you should compare the two progresses. Technology is much better now. So, things will definitely move much faster than they did back in the 90s.
Good luck. Hope they don’t deny this one, too.
I have an almost carbon copy of your hardware and I run endeavour OS dualbooting with a mini win11. Been doing it for about 3 years now. For software, I just install bauh and call it a day. This app has every thing from flatpaks to app images to the AUR (except snaps) and you go from there. I’ve been very happy with my set up. I have 4 separate drives in my machine so I have each OS on its own drive since windows loves to mess with grub every time it updates. Having them on separate drives makes it easier to recover if anything goes wrong.
EDIT: forgot to mention that I, too, play games and code on this machine. No issues whatsoever. I have KDE plasma on Wayland
I can feel it in the air. This is going to take off just like how wine and proton took off. We are going to go through another “Linux gaming” rush all over again and this shit is going to be fun. Let’s go!!!
Right. But what can you do if your job has absolutely no interest in Linux? Force them? I’ve talked to some leads and managers and they laughed at the idea of using Linux. They just don’t need it for whatever they do. And 100% of our backend is SQL and C#. And you know how much they drool over visual studio and all those MS products.
Understandable. Make do with what’s available, friend.
Software dev here. The only Linux I ever hear of at my job is Open shift. That’s about it. We are neck deep into windows. And honestly, I don’t care. It’s a job and my bills are paid. My house is full of Linux, and I don’t care what a big corporation wants to use for their software.
It has indeed been fixed, and I love it. Thank you
That’d be great then. Will be checking soon. Thank you
This is great. This gives me hope for Linux mobile 🙏🏽
Thank you. I think I already have that installed.
