Genuinely curious why grown men consistently get upset when people say “p-car” in this subreddit. Especially since most who get upset don’t even own a Porsche.

All the $20k claims are insane and if that’s the case for NYC maybe get it repaired outside NYC. You can get the door for $800-$1000 used in mint condition,and OE they’re $1200. Bumper another $800 max and fender another $800-1000 max. Paint and Labor and you’re looking $10k max.

People saying $20k must work for body shops in NYC and charge this ridiculous amount on the norm to ignorant people.

In DFW this would cost around $8k at the highest end body shop. I’ve seen far worse done to Porsches and BMWs and nowhere near did it cost 20k for a deep scratch.

Same , these are common in DFW. I probably see once a week minimum here and the cars even more.

With Porsche financing, great income and credit you can still get decent rates compared to the average person. I’ve seen as low as 4.9%. I mean that doesn’t compare to the .7% I got in 2021 but still good. In our area the rates haven’t had any affect as Porsches can’t even stay on the dealer floors long.
