The information age has turned inward like a snake eating itself. The NBA has an annual total revenue of over $10billion while its broadcasting infrastructure is a disaster.

Reminds me of when Napster became a thing back in the 90s. I was convinced that music was about to explode because they could sell digital albums. Selling without manufacturing?! Sure there might be some piracy, but it’s going to be like printing money!

Turns out that the whole industry would rather wage war against their own customers than change. Instead of hiring software developers they hired lobbyists and lawyers.

Everything should be easier now. Broadcasting equipment is cheaper, lighter, more futuristic. Drones that 10yr old me would mistake for alien technology are literally toys now. Anyone with a small budget could make an app, host video streaming, whatever they want. How is it that everything is somehow worse. The quality of the Grizzlies broadcast is dogshit this year.

I so proud of this team. Bad news bears are always my favorite version of these squads.
