Man. Completely dominate the half but go in tied 3-3. That’s coaching. Fields missed those throws badly but…you can’t go screen, screen, screen, bomb.

How standard are NFL scouting departments/budgets? Like are all teams generally pretty much similar, not necessarily in quality, but quantity? I just ask because I’m a Sox fan and I know their scouting and analytics departments are comically small compared to almost every other MLB franchise but figure in a salary capped league with more parity it would be a bit more even across the board.
It’s fucking Reddit. Go drink Scotch with some academics in a room smelling of leather bound books and rich mahogany if you want some intellectual discussion.
I’m just not…completely sold on Williams or Maye. I’m not trying to be a chicken little but…I don’t trust the Bears as long as the McCaskeys are in charge and I think the most likely path to success is a Tom Brady to Tampa or Manning to Denver type acquisition because the organization can’t develop a QB to save their lives.
He’s projected to be a top 15 pick so…plenty of people including those who make a living off football, believe he’s an NFL QB. QBs, short of dudes like Peyton Manning, are a crapshoot in the NFL draft so no one really knows. Hell, Andrew Luck only lasted 7 seasons and Tom Brady was a 6th round pick that might never get a chance if Drew Bledsoe doesn’t get injured.
Then leave. It’s not hard. There are plenty of other options to talk about football.
Here before all the whiners start complaining about another draft post but…I 100% agree. MHJ and the best OL on the board should absolutely be the draft strategy.
Was just looking up old combine stats for WRs…Good God Calvin Johnson was a freak.
4.46 is what I see. That’s not Tyreek Hill fast but it’s serviceable. Looks like NFL average for a WR is 4.48. You’d think he might be able to get right around 4.40 at the combine with a full period of focused preparation with one of the super specialized coaching outfits.
Who cares? It’s a platform designed to discuss the fucking team. There’s like a quarter million subscribers. There’s nothing wrong with talking about it all the time.
Go yell at some clouds or tell the young whippersnappers to get off your lawn.
No. It’s a platform solely designed to discuss topics. The draft is the only thing worth discussing about the Bears outside of when they fire Eberflus. Those should 100% be daily topics.
No shit. It’s almost like Reddit is a platform solely dedicated to discussing things on a daily basis….what a bunch of get off my lawn boomers . I guess they’d just prefer deafening silence.
This is what I think too. MHJ and the best OL/Edge available. If you can do that AND trade back it’s a jackpot. Even if you can’t…I really don’t think Caleb or Maye are the unquestionable answer IMO. Seems like there’s about 6 realistic NFL QBs in this draft.
I also feel bad for Saleh. Bears should 100% consider him as DC once he’s fired assuming the McCaskeys do what the McCaskeys do and swing the completely opposite end of the pendulum and hire a completely offensively minded dude as Head Coach after Flus.
Loves getting an awful lot of pressure but it’s pretty crazy that GB is giving consistent RB/TE help on Hutchinson. Insane concept.
Jesus man. Goffs cap hit next season is almost $32m
I mean let’s be honest though. We absolutely want to lose that game.
And that signals the end of the Justin Fields era. I’ve really tried to like the dude and rooted for him to succeed but…you can’t drop the ball there. I just don’t think that he can execute at an NFL level, Flus and Getsy are massive issues but the QB needs to be smarter in that situation. It sucks because Fields does seem like a good guy, he just doesn’t have it.
