I looked up some pictures of them and they are admittedly a spectacle, unmistakably American.

I’d never heard of Buc-ees, and now I see that’s because they’re only in Texas. The only time I’ve been there, besides in an airport for a layover, was in 2014 when I drove on the 40 through Amarillo. According to Google maps, there is a (closed) Bucc-ees on the 40, but it looks like it was built very recently as it isn’t there in 2023, the latest images on there.
Only George HW Bush.
I’ve never seen it referred to this way before. I’ve always seen it called the “British” or “British English” spelling of something.
No, because American isn’t a language, English is. It’s then further separated into dialects, such as American English and British English. Just saying “English” makes it sound like you’re not just talking about dialects, which this person is.
That’s the British English spelling.
Well, if middle aged guys spent all day beating up punks.
I love this series. I wasn’t sure about having a new protaganist and switching to turn based, but Ichiban’s an incredibly likeable character and the turn based style suits him.
It’s possible, but even at that level of detail it would have been trivial to add a white dot and elongate the red triangle. I’m thinking they intended it to be Palestine.
Ironically deleted your Firefox and installed Chrome
Thirty pieces of silver though, man. When your leader’s a dirty hippie you kind of miss the finer things in life, you know?
Besides, Big J said he already knew the betrayal would happen, so who is Judas to change what’s meant to be?
They’re not “religious” by their own definition, but it’s not the definition the rest of the world uses, so it’s meaningless. But as long as they’re not assholes they can believe what they want!
The “schmett” makes me think of the mess that’s left if you squish one.
EDIT: Curious about the etymology of the German word, and the “schmett” part means “cream,” which is similar to the “butter” part we use in English. The closest word an English speaker might recognize is probably the Yiddish “schmir.”
The closest pronunciation you can get in English is probably eek.
Large-scale, actual communism with no authoritarianism? Not that I’m aware of. It’s hard to implement true communism effectively on a large scale because most people have to care enough about others to willingly contribute for it to work.
I’m never getting a system refresh. Waste of money. This one is especially baffling. The PS4 Pro made sense so people could use their 4K TVs, but what does this add that makes buying a whole new system worthwhile?
Probably next year.
“So many IPs to kill. But you know what would be even better?”
“What?”
“Buying Hudson and killing off their IPs too!” evil laughter
Yes, he’d be an asshole for giving her them as a birthday present, regardless of the fact that he got her other presents as well. Just ask her if she wants them after he gets his new ones.
