I mean, I still try to do all these things.
But I still don’t really believe anything I do makes any real difference, because my individual impact is pretty much zero when compared to billionaires and corpos.

Trying to incite outrage like OP is doing isn’t helpful for anyone.
And do you have any other examples (as you imply, the thread is full of them) than just one troll that has since been removed from the thread?

Yep. When I switched out my Nvidia for AMD it was as plug-and-play as it gets.

Maybe you can try to check if you’re using legacy drivers or the new version that’s party open-source.
I think Nvidia switched to those for their most recent cards not long ago.

That’s where Chromium came from originally, so not really 3rd.
And what else should be recommended?
The choice is basically between Firefox or skinned Chromium.
Do you really want to experience first-hand just why Internet Explorer was this hated?
Here’s a hint: de facto monopoly on browser market that allowed them to control the web standards back then and their ideas were not good.it has become a sinking ship and I’m eager to see who picks up the shards and runs with it.
I don’t think you have any idea how much work it takes to create a new browser.
362·2 months agoIt’s made by folks that once worked on the original Opera (back when it was still good).
Basing their new browser on Chromium is unfortunate, but the spirit of old Opera is there: customizability and focus on features for power users.
It’s the browser I’d be using if I abandoned Firefox for whatever reason.

Yeah, gotta have that and all that Secure Boot with TPM bullshit, because I’m visualizing a company workstation and nothing will work without those.
Because for some reason, no matter what I try, Windows 10 desktop is laggy as hell on Qemu, and smooth out of the box on VirtualBox.

I saw they switched recently to partially open source drivers, so hopefully it’s gonna be better for you soon.
I’m currently using KZones, actually, it’s not automatic, but it works pretty great.
No, they don’t… For years now most people have considered cyberpunk to be just “rainy cityscape with neons”.
But it’s not that surprising, since a lot of us already do live in a cyberpunk world, except for some of the advanced technologies usually appearing in the genre.
