Active noise cancellation. It’s a bit like magic. Don’t be a wanker and say “Um actually, all you have to do is emit an inverse waveform.” I think it took a hell of a lot of work to get this right, especially integrating it into relatively inexpensive consumer devices. Thanks, scientists and engineers. Well done.
Let me know if you figure it out. I’m twice your age and I still don’t know.
I have already said “goodbye google” and “hello moto”, but long story short I had to factory reset my old Pixel 6 last night and ran smack dab into this:

Right now I don’t even know how to turn the damn thing off. 😆
Don’t listen to the jeering goons, OP. Keep asking questions. 🤜🤛
Forgive the stupid question, but what does this mean, exactly? Does it mean Nvidia support on par with that for AMD? Will this enable a release of Bazzite that supports Steam Gaming Mode for Nvidia cards?
Did they find a way to cram even more stuff into the title bar?
Not your fault. I was surprised at the behavior. Lemmy should handle that better. A post in the subscribed list IMO should be more like an abstract or excerpt, with the full text only available when viewing the post.
Took me three days to scroll through this post on my subscribed list in Photon on my phone. 😆
Don’t get me started. For years people corrected me when I said LEE-nooks instead of Lennox. I finally gave up.
Huh. I didn’t even realize it was a thing. I’ve had Google One for several years.
Recently I followed this guide on my late 2013 retina MBP and ended up with a fully working system. Used the latest Ubuntu [edit: 22.04 LTS Jammy Jellyfish] at the time. No hiccups that I recall. I’m not a Linux expert but I am familiar with installing and configuring Debian and Ubuntu. YMMV.
After letting the poor thing gather dust for several years, now I use it most every day.
Edit 2024-03-08 to clarify the release that I used
This is a pretty fucking reasonable question right now.
