This was totally impossible before AI of course. Completely impossible to do with photkshop/gimp or with out of context shots from movies or anything like that.

That is committing a crime as an accomplice, which is different than enabling a crime which by default is passive or encouraging.

Trump is a rapist and Epstein is an accomplice. Johnson avoiding a vote is a form of enabling, but that is not as bad as the rapist and their accomplice.

The term enabling when it comes to crime is used differently than for people who enable overeating or substance abuse by covering symptoms because there are more specific terms for active involvement in crimes.

Enabling is worse than the crime itself.

Libertarian ideas about freedom from government intervention are taken to an extreme and wrapped up in the denial of funding social supports, because pooling resources for the overall benefit of society is evil or something.

Many countries establish personal rights in a way that still allow for freedom without the libertarian selfishness aspect.

We already know there are massive fundamental limitations. All of the big name AI companies are all in on LLMs which can’t do anything that hasn’t been done before, unless it is just arbitrarily outputting something randomly mashed together which is not what to do for anything important. It is a dead end without humans doing things it can copy. When a new coding language is developed, it can’t use it until lots and lots of people have used it to suck up their code to vomit forth.

LLMs, which is what all of the general purpose AIs are, cannot be a long term solution to anything unless we are just pausing technology and society to whenever it can handle ‘everything’. LLMs have already peaked and that is supposedly the road to general AI.

In the middle of the US all of the fast food chains are hit and miss depending on location. There are like 11 McDonald’s nearby and two of them are consistently good. There are at least three BKs and only one of them is consistently good.

When the BK is good I find it far better than McDonald’s. It is probably the fry grease they use and the open fire for cooking the meat, but also the vegetables and buns and everything else are just better imho. Good enough to get me to stop by a few times a year.

I used to be required to track all the receipts for travel years ago, and at some point like a decade ago the state figured out way more money was being spent on budgeting, reimbursing, and auditing each purchase individually than they would save by just doing a flat per diem rate for food and incidental expenses based on travel location.

I still keep my receipts long enough to make sure I’m not going over what I will be reimbursed, but shred them when I get home.

Fairly regularly with Helldivers 2. The mockery of fascism is too notch, the gameplay results in a lot of hilarious moments of disaster without being punishing, and those combined make for great interactions with other players.

Pretty sure they meant $125k to $150k but they had to save money on four characters.

My calc I class in college had a 23% average on the first exam. Later ones made it into the high 30%s. The professor was terrible, but since I had already taken calc in high school and he graded on a curve it was a breeze.

The main problem was that he would test for the stuff we had not covered yet because he “wanted people to work ahead.”

I was commenting about how it was implemented on a straight street with no obvious considerations for the lanes going into the spaces where cars are parked.

That isn’t clear? They could have put some kind of paint at the curves to indicate where cars shouldn’t park, or anything other than just painting the lanes. That is what makes it look like a shitty implementation.

Next time you should ask what someone means if simple words are too much for you.
