What kind of “real world load” are you putting on your trimmer? Mine barely ever gets caught in hair, and when it does, the hair gets cut before it can apply any meaningful amount of force to the trimmer guard.

It sure was:
And then it was 9/11.
“I was at work when it happened,” Bill said. “Of course we didn’t have a television there, but we had a radio and a newsflash came across the radio. So of course everything was dead silence.”
Bill and his co-workers finished out the day, and not knowing what else to do he said fuck it, let’s go bowling, and man is he glad he did because it was the best game of his life. He’d never bowled so well in decades of trying. He’d never bowl so well again. Amidst the chaos and fear and uncertainty of the world changing in ways neither he nor the rest of us yet understood, Bill Moro went and bowled a perfect damn game on 9/11.
Even better, he was at work and couldn’t think of anything better to do after the shift ended.
Yeah, I get that. But also, the root mount point is a valid partition, and it is full, so it makes sense why it shows up that way.
I think a lot of the confusion is letting go to old habits and knowledge that don’t exactly work with the new system. In still going through that a lot myself (and will probably be making my own troubleshooting post when I have time), but it’s always good to experiment and see what you can learn.
Best of luck friend!

I started with Bazzite recently after getting a recommendation to go with a SilverBlue derived distro, and other than trying to figure out my own issues, it’s been pretty smooth.
I do have a weird issue that crops up after reboot where the display environment variable isn’t exported or something. But considering I also had an issue with my steam library not loading that was user error, I’m not entirely sure that isn’t of my own making as well…
It comes full from the first boot, because you’re not supposed to be able to write to it. That’s kinda he point of an immutable distro
You don’t, it’s the immutable root partition. You probably need to find the point it’s trying to write to and link it to a location it can write to.
Note: I’m still a newbie to atomic desktops too.
Squirrelly Dan?
Brat by slapping the top soil, it can’t go badly.
I have taken IT support calls in the middle of the woods. I was on call and my friends wanted a hike, so I brought it along. Got stuck waiting at one point while I did my thing, but everyone was cool and understood since they’re all in IT or partnered to at least one IT person
Dude in iT, never had that problem and even doubled my salary through linked in. Anytime I actually interact with a recruiter I lay down my bare minimums and won’t even bother responding further/block if they can’t hit that.
That said, LinkedIn is a shit hole not worth touching more than once every couple of years if you’re not looking for a gig. I don’t even really interact with people I actually know in there because the platform is terrible and 90% of public posts are from sociopaths who despise work life balance.
How babby form?
Yeah, no. I’m not trying to keep track of 15 windows when I can make named groups to actually organize the various things I always end up coming back to
Why not just implement a liability waiver and have the person accept any cleanup fees for areas left in a mess?
In a follow up email from someone else at the company, they let me know that the people responsible for the punishment have been punished.
Depends on the CFL. I had to replace one in a fixture in my new house a few months after I bought it, and it was some goofy round one with a rectangular attachment point and some clips. Thankfully it was pretty easy to replace and was easily gettable from Dom Depot, but I was definitely surprised by the socket when I went to replace it.
Anon learning (ha, anons learning) the meaning of caveat emptor.
Sales don’t mean shit if the product/service is bad, plenty of bad products have tons of sales.
Yeah, seriously. When I was a preteen my mother loved to go feed bread to ducks at the lake (I know, but it was free). More than once I had a goose think it was hot shit and hiss at me, and they, like people, never have a plan for when they get popped in the beak.
I hated doing it, but I wasn’t about to be chased off by an uncooked holiday dinner.
