Anon learning (ha, anons learning) the meaning of caveat emptor.
Sales don’t mean shit if the product/service is bad, plenty of bad products have tons of sales.

Now, now, we still have other shit holes to get greentext from (assuming you’re willing to wade through them), and I assume some of the chans aren’t 100% awful.
My current task is outside of the bounds of this chart (monthly task that would take days to do manually, down to a handful of hours). What do?
but not so much that more is expected.
This is my problem, I’ve been plagued with the curse of competence and an inability to keep my mouth shut. This leads me to accidentally volunteer for seemingly easy tasks that ‘only require a bit of automation…’ and I lose weeks of time.
In Germany you just purchase an OEM volume license on eBay for 8€
[X]Doubt
Having purchased $8 keys on eBay, they’re more than likely either data center or MAK activation keys that are being resold against the license agreement.
Not that I care, mind, but there’s very little likelihood that a real/legit key being sold for that little that’s actually OEM.
Edit: IMHO, there isn’t much difference in buying a grey market key vs just using the activation script.
Back when /b/ was a containment board, not the whitehouse
I’m not. The site was running on old software a decade ago and hasn’t been touched. I’d be surprised if they don’t swipe another chan software and just slapped a coat of paint on it, but I don’t expect them to be rushing to get the site back online after they got entirely rinsed.
And even when you ask about it, your doc will probably say that the test isn’t worth doing because of how common HSV is and how inaccurate the test is.
Your POV is laughable. 😄
Right back at ya champ 😎
Don’t you know that everybody has that one friend, nephew, neighbor, colleague etc. that they ask for advice when buying a new laptop?
I was that guy and did front line tech support for a few years, and still do when I have to.
Plenty don’t, or can only rely on their work IT guy who may or may not be able to help them. Assuming they have an IT guy and haven’t farmed the work out to an MSP who doesn’t always have the time to help.
Just because your limited life experience says it doesn’t happen, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.
You’re really saying that they’d buy a laptop for cheap and install a new OS and aquire a key and all that? While I have your attention, are you interested in this bridge I have to sell you?
Suggesting that the average end user is more likely to reinstall an OS and aquire a key than to just learn how to use the new OS is fucking laughable.
You say that, but you’re going to end up with donuts with holes and cream filling that weren’t there before …
Sure, but I know I didn’t rip on the genXers just because I was an immature little shit. I ripped on my peers because I didn’t give a shit about the older generation, and by the time I did, I knew genX was cool, if a bit detached and the real enemy was the capital class (and boomers to an extent because of how wrapped up in chasing the status they’ll never have while pulling the ladder up behind them).
Oh no, that’s no a red flag at all.
It’s the whole goddamned color guard.
How about fat pappa t?
My CISO has been trying to recruit me for year to his department, but I haven’t got the mental health to spare for the cybers.
I wouldn’t
Yeah… Call me in 4 years when they vote republican again because it’s not trump on the ballot and something something evil Democrats. I’d bet the same people saying this in 2025 were saying something similar when trump caused the COVID crash by doing fuck all to prevent the spread.
When were you on there? Because I was on there for a good few years in the late 00s up until gamergate, and the Nazi posting was mainly on /b/, but it wasn’t absent from other boards and only got worse as people stopped ironically Nazi posting and were more serious about it
That’s why I subscribe to greentext communities, cuz I did my time in the trenches dealing with the Nazis and gore well before the right well and truly lost (what little was left of) their goddamned minds.
Depends on the CFL. I had to replace one in a fixture in my new house a few months after I bought it, and it was some goofy round one with a rectangular attachment point and some clips. Thankfully it was pretty easy to replace and was easily gettable from Dom Depot, but I was definitely surprised by the socket when I went to replace it.
