1 year agoid case creaking just as common as with the lcd? if so i may pass on the upgrade, creaking on a $400 (+$200 of upgrades) is more tolerable than creaking on $550 (+$200 of upgrades)

one of the main reasons i was considering the oled was because i’m sick of the cheap, creaky, uneven feeling of the original
if it’s not any improved that’ll save me $150
they work once, and then auto format themselves
lucky you, looks like you got a backlight bleed free model. or is that just the anti glare screen?
it’s not as easy as people make it out to be, i can open and repair iphones perfectly fine, yet i open my steam deck once and i have backlight bleed and rough uneven edges
that’s not how self tapping screws work, that only happens if they’re drilled in, not screwed by hand
