Man, looked like Steichen knew New England would leave the middle of the field open. Good call.
A slow QB doing a little side juke seems to work every time.
The secret to throwing to Pierce is to make him jump to catch the ball.
Give Ballard credit for the defensive end depth, we don’t have any great defensive ends but feels like we have four or five average to above average ends. If only we had this depth at defensive back.
Sure, for the right price assuming he fits our defensive system. He’s done it before (Buckner), not sure why people are acting like he wouldn’t. Don’t know much about our defensive system and how it values individual positions and skill sets but it could also be corner is considered a replaceable position where you don’t give up a lot to get a guy or spend a lot your cap on the position unless he’s a hall of famer.
Not gonna worry about it until their front office shows they can build around Stroud long term. Kudos to them though digging themselves out of the massive hole that O’Brien and Watson put them in. What they have done with the picks looks impressive so far. Plenty of franchises have spun completely out of control after bad situations like that. Still there are always examples of teams that can build something for a year or two before it falls apart.
