3·1 month agoI think in this specific context software rendering actually means that SteamVR is having to coordinate with the window manger or whatever to draw the game to the headset’s screens rather than rendering directly to them

7·2 months agoWhen you have to amend a commit that you have already pushed you have to force push the amendment. That should then trigger the Pipeline
Yea, basically. Like, the users shouldn’t have to look at your implementation to find that out what it will return. My example here would be
Square.area(). Maybe they would have to look at the method’s docs though to find out what unit the result is in
Imo
resultis more descriptive than even Java-esque variable names, because it tells you that this is the variable that will actually be returned, rather than just some intermediate representation

6·7 months agoYou could create a git branch with an unrelated history to store this type of data; either as plaintext, md or something more sophisticated for dedicated tools. The biggest hurdle would probably be to define and agree on a standardized format

2·9 months agoapfs is by default case-insensitiv, for some reason, so the paths would still be the same. It apparently even causes issues with some installers when macos runs on apfs(case-sensitive)
