For me, I use GG as a way of saying thank you to everyone for playing in general. I can only speak for myself, but I get on the game for my mental health. It gives me something to focus on outside of my own thoughts and life issues. I’m grateful for the people who choose to play the game because they’re all helping me in a way they’re unaware of. I say GR after every round and GG after every match. I think it’s just a nice way of saying thanks for hanging out with me. If I get wiped by a team, I’ll usually give them credit because it can be pure chaos sometimes. I respect the sweats. I grind really hard when I’m having a bad day and I don’t want to rage at someone who may be having just as rough of a day as I am. Most of us get on the game either to have fun or blow off steam. Brush it off. I’m sure they don’t mean it in a petty way at all, it’s just a standard communication amongst gamers that we all understand.
