I’ve brought this up on this sub before…it would suck for us not to have a 1st round pick next year in Detroit but I don’t think it will impact what we do before trade deadline. Thoughts?

I said it before and got downvoted, anyone hoping/ expecting for the lions to make a move is settings themselves up for failure.
It’s very clear this regime wants to build through the draft and it’s worked so far. The remaining cap space we have is for the upcoming players we need to re-sign.
I’ve seen talk of trading for Burns, Crosby, PS2 & a few others. It’s hilarious and not happening.
Disagree. There is a difference between building from the ground up, which you do through the draft and upside free agents, and trying to round out the roster for a championship run. Idk if this is the year we do it, but if Brad thinks we are a piece or two away from a proper SB run then go get the pieces.
That being said I don’t necessarily think this is the year we do that. Our window is just opening.
If they’re gonna do anything, it’s likely to be fairly low profile. Crosby and surtain aren’t happening.
Perhaps something like re acquiring DJ Chark
I think Surtain is basically untouchable. I can’t think of a reason a franchise would move a young lock-down corner, whether they are rebuilding or not. Crosby is similar but there seems to be a rumor (unsubstantiated) that he might want out of LV and they could sell high on him for a rebuild. LV has denied this.
I could see Chase Young. Washington is a dumpster fire across the board and they have several very good players. They should clean house and stack up on a load of draft picks imo.
