I still believe they have a lot to prove before they should be able to keep their jobs but I’ll admit, things have been looking better so far all around. I have seen a few people slightly change their minds but what’s everyones thoughts about?

The 2 games in a row that Fields had with the 8 tds were lauded by the normal film guys that we know are legit. All of them were surprised just how much better the scheme/plays were called compared to the first 3 weeks and wondered what the fuck took so long, when they had been calling for that shit for weeks. Then, the Vikings game went right back to what he was trying to do in the beginning of the season. Its really frustrating, because it shows Fields can be legit, when its geared towards his strengths. Why on earth force him into something he is not, when he has shown that when hes just going and not thinking, he has shown the ability to be that pocket passer alot of the game, while also using his mobility to help out the oline and keep the defense on their toes.

Im not at all sold on Getsy and he has been the target of my ire. Sorry, that I made it seem I lean towards supporting him, over wanting someone else. Im just saying, we have seen he can do it, but he seems to have too much Nagy in him with being stubborn about what he wants to call.

People will shit on Fields and argue you cant have the same gameplan against every team and that is absolutely correct. But, that isnt what is happening. Whats happening is he removes all of the post snap stuff that helps out the oline and give Fields time and get in rhythm. Gets rid of the PA pass calls. Calls these boring as fuck screens for the “short easy” passes. Coaches him to not leave the pocket instead of using his instincts/legs. Theres a difference between changing a game plan for the opponent and changing the offense to go away from Fields strengths.

But, since I have seen Getsy do it, I would like to assume that can happen throughout the rest of the year.
