I still believe they have a lot to prove before they should be able to keep their jobs but I’ll admit, things have been looking better so far all around. I have seen a few people slightly change their minds but what’s everyones thoughts about?

Fuck no. They suck and basically only win against horrible teams or when Fields put the team on his back despite their best efforts to coach them into a loss.

Name one game we one because Fields “put the team in his back”

I guess maybe you could say Washington if you give him credit for Moore breaking runs

Its the first year after a complete tear down year. Lots of new faces, even from just last year. Its been frustrating, but Flus seems to still have the locker room and the defense has been a lot better with some scheme changes and players getting back healthy.

Ive seen Getsy call great games for Fields and bad games for Fields. Oline has been a rotation since the offseason camps, so its hard to see what they can do until it settles.

Basically, Id want to see what happens in the next 5 or so games before I make a definitive opinion.

Once Justin fields returns from this ligament issue. He will save these coaches ass’s with his stellar play. You can bank on that. Just like you can bank on Justin fields not throwing the ball to open guys

I’ve seen this new found approval for the coaching staff in several post threads and I just don’t understand where the delusion comes from. Eberfleus record is 5-19. Makes some really head scratching decisions in-game but also can’t adjust during halftime. Why would you want to keep that coach with an upcoming draft where we may hold top ten picks? I’m a Fields fan but I know he won’t develop under Eberfleus and if we draft Meye or Williams, they will be lost with him as well. We need a better coach period. No more defensive minded coaches either. Dolphins got it right, why can’t we?

Eberflus is still on pace to be the worst coach in Chicago Bears history in terms of win percentage

I’m willing to see where they are at the end of the season. This season was always a development year, and that is the metric by which they should be judged.

I would not sell short the fact that they haven’t lost the locker room, and youth is gradually pushing its way onto the field. Nor would I sell short the value of continuity.

I thought there were positive signs after year one but most of those are gone

It’s easy to look at those first three/four games and want beads to roll. But in reality, it has been a different team since they played the Chiefs. A LOT has to do with the opposition. But, although I have called for firings, we really need to see how this season pans out. If this staff is figuring it out, I might be able to have my mind changed. After all, last season was a free pass for everyone.
