Ever since the 2020 KDA debacle it has been clear as day that it just looks bad. Obviously the quality has improved since and covid definitely had a role to play in the quality but even now, 3 years later we get this ps2 lookin ass boy band on stage.
I didn’t mind the other ARG aspects like the ezreal ult or even the mordekaiser but the humans just look like wax figures. Especially since theyre always blurry, presumably because the moving camera causes them to constantly readjust positions so they dont fly across the stage.
Just commission some high quality cosplay/themed outfits for the performers to wear. it looks 1 million times better and doesn’t feel jarring to look at.
Thing about the 2019 models was that they were not focussed on at all/they were barely a part of the performance on stage. Not only that but they were also transparent and warped all over the place, which was fitting with the whole true damage vibe, especially ekko. I think those added a ton more than having plastic people on stage as the main attraction.
