Yes, he had a bad game. But it wasn’t just him. EVERYONE had a bad game for reasons that have been talked to death in the last 24 hours. But I still think he’s our guy, and that we can be competitive within the next two seasons if we build a team around him. The O-line, the coaching, and the secondary are our biggest weaknesses right now.

    Right now Sam is still struggling with processing and timing and footwork. These are critical and you’ve seen it in his mistakes. He also throws to his first read 70% of the time.

    The Ints were bad let’s be honest, and he’s now 18-12 and is tied for most interceptions. And the most sacked QB by a wide margin.

    What Sam has is grit and a fucking arm. Like in the Seattle game, he was late to Dyami for the TD, but he had the arm to fit into a small window.

    I keep saying it again, it too early to call him the guy, it’s too early to say he isn’t.

    What I’m saying, if we end up 4-13. With a top 5 pick the new GM might try to get “his” guy.
