Another very ugly week offensively, resulting in an early switch to Caruso in the starting lineup. Magic and Heat are #1 and #10 defenses, but it won’t be getting much easier in the next week with the Heat at #10, Thunder at #7 and Raptors at #8 (Nets will be a good break).

Noteworthy Stat:

  • LaVine and DeRozan together = -108 in 310 min
  • LaVine without DeRozan = +56 in 186 min
  • DeRozan without LaVine = +23 in 150 min

    Very good point. They are -19 in 32 minutes. No one on the team can generate offense besides those two, it seems. Maybe Coby with Vucevic, but that hasn’t gone well so far. When Carter is playing well, you can also just generate three point shots for him in transition or around screens, but they haven’t tried that at a significant volume.
