I see so many people now cheering for losses and tank watching the standings, like I get that this is unchartered territory for most patriots fans and it’s fun right now to do, but this isn’t the way.

That one player who comes in and changes an entire franchise is almost non-existent and extremely rare. Do Williams, Maye, and MHjr look like studs in college? Of course, could they come into the NFL and suck? Of course they could. I’d rather want my team to win every week and keep a winning culture, even if the year is going terribly vs a team that doesn’t care if they lose because of a draft pick. I know the team isn’t the fans but the fans need to understand this because we all know the inevitable complaining is coming when we win a game or 2 later this year.

I would take Penix or a stud LT and a few more wins over 2-15 and a franchise that’s completely fallen apart who brings in a high maintenance QB or WR from college to fix all their problems.

Let’s just try to remember for a second that we’re the Patriots, not the Jets.

    Wow, can we say conflation?

    • You’ve implied Williams, Maye and Harrison Jr are bad people. How do you know this to be true?
    • Top QBs do change the franchise. If you called up and proposed trades for Mahomes, Josh Allen, Burrow, or Stroud right now, what do you think the response would be?
    • Exactly what final record will yield a “Penix and a stud LT”? Here you’re talking the 5th overall pick instead of the 2nd?
