As tantalizing a player as Harrison Jr looks to be, I probably look to trade down 4-5 slots, where I can likely still get Alt, pick up 2nd or two 3rds and begin rebuilding this roster.
We’re much more than a tackle, a QB and WR away from being a real contender.
I’m not sure how many pro football games you’ve been to in the past, but this one is likely to be somewhat unique. The Patriots don’t have a quarterback, so - if you’re a fan of punting- you’ll have a great time.

What happens if the Patriots end up with the 3rd overall pick AND both Maye and Williams are gone?
Seems as Harrison Jr is the real deal, but WR is the last piece in my rebuild, so I would turn right to draft him into more selections.
I probably look to trade down to the 7-10 range and make five picks in the top 50.
Probably hope for Alt in the first and JJ McCarthy in the second.
For all the talk about how good our Defense has been the last three weeks, I’d point out that we’ve face three terrible teams. The point being we need help on both sides of the ball.

I don’t believe they would consider a trade if Maye or Williams is still on the board, but if those two go 1-2, I can imaging the Patriots trading down to the 5-7 range, where they would be assured one of Harrison, Fashanu, or Alt PLUS a second.

And if you go into the draft with a strict plan to draft a position in a given round (versus weighing available talent and positional value), it’s bound to be a terrible draft.
