I’ve seen so much fire Zac Taylor and Callahan talk the last few days I wanna vomit. Without Zac Taylor, there would be no Lou Anarumo, or most of the coaching staff. Possibly not burrow or chase or higgins. Definitely no Hendrickson cause the way they got him was so uncharacteristic of the Bengals I almost fell over when I heard about it the first time. Who is still in if they win the next 2 games? Maybe unlikely but maybe they find a way under center or something that benefits jake browning and the run game takes off who knows.

I know we had a good chance at another super bowl with Burrow. That doesn’t mean the sky is falling and everyone needs fired and traded. So pathetic to hear all that garbage

I think Zac is a good coach, not great, but good. And I don’t think he’s the problem. Also people need to realize great coaches aren’t growing on trees just waiting to be hired. There are way more bad coaches than great coaches in the NFL. Zac is near the middle, and that’s okay.

The biggest issue is that he hasnt built a squad that can withstand adversity. As soon as they get any injuries, they kind of just fall apart. And don’t know how to overcome it. His skill set and scheming is limited.

Much better coaches, and it pains me to say this, like Stefanski and Harbaugh, build depth and know how to overcome adversity. Ravens had major injuries last year and still made the playoffs. Browns have major injuries this year and are still playing well and will almost certainly make the playoffs. I would be really surprised if the Bengals manage to even win 2 more games without Burrow.

I think Zac still has time to grow, so hopefully he continues to. But I don’t think he’s the core issue, nor do I think they will automatically find a better coach if they let him go. There will be probably 10 coaching vacancies this off season, and it’s usually the same teams constantly turning over.
