I’ve seen so much fire Zac Taylor and Callahan talk the last few days I wanna vomit. Without Zac Taylor, there would be no Lou Anarumo, or most of the coaching staff. Possibly not burrow or chase or higgins. Definitely no Hendrickson cause the way they got him was so uncharacteristic of the Bengals I almost fell over when I heard about it the first time. Who is still in if they win the next 2 games? Maybe unlikely but maybe they find a way under center or something that benefits jake browning and the run game takes off who knows.

I know we had a good chance at another super bowl with Burrow. That doesn’t mean the sky is falling and everyone needs fired and traded. So pathetic to hear all that garbage

I think Zac is a good coach, not great, but good. And I don’t think he’s the problem. Also people need to realize great coaches aren’t growing on trees just waiting to be hired. There are way more bad coaches than great coaches in the NFL. Zac is near the middle, and that’s okay.

The biggest issue is that he hasnt built a squad that can withstand adversity. As soon as they get any injuries, they kind of just fall apart. And don’t know how to overcome it. His skill set and scheming is limited.

Much better coaches, and it pains me to say this, like Stefanski and Harbaugh, build depth and know how to overcome adversity. Ravens had major injuries last year and still made the playoffs. Browns have major injuries this year and are still playing well and will almost certainly make the playoffs. I would be really surprised if the Bengals manage to even win 2 more games without Burrow.

I think Zac still has time to grow, so hopefully he continues to. But I don’t think he’s the core issue, nor do I think they will automatically find a better coach if they let him go. There will be probably 10 coaching vacancies this off season, and it’s usually the same teams constantly turning over.

-Zac Taylor does seem to bumble some playcalls and timeouts. Having Callahan seems kinda stupid. Have a dedicated OC that calls the plays and has a close relationship with Burrow. Let Zac do everything else and be freed from the responsibility and blame of calling the plays.

-The defense can’t do it all and has a lot of promising talent. We just need to improve out pass rush dramatically.

-I want to win now and not tank and I don’t care who’s playing QB when it comes to that, I just want the Bengals to win, however we do it within the rules of the game.

Though he isn’t why Burrow has had injury problems this season, it took Mike Brown 14 seasons to make the playoffs and 30 seasons to win a playoff game.

Lewis needed 3 seasons to make the playoffs, Dalton needed 1, Taylor needed 3, Burrow needed 2. Mike Brown will let someone else be his scapegoat and people will celebrate when they’re gone.

There are likely many issues with his ownership but he should not be the GM after the team struggled as much as they have since 1991. Yes, Duke Tobin has been the Director of Player Personnel for a long time but that is not the same thing as a GM. It seems plausible Mike Brown handicaps Tobin more than other owners would for a real GM. Roster issues continue to plague this organization and I want to know if Tobin is to blame or if I’m correct about Grandpa Nepotism being the issue.

Lastly, Marvin Lewis was a godsend for this organization and deserves more credit than I see anyone give him. I have never seen a fanbase cry so much about making the playoffs in six out of seven years. If you’d rather miss the playoffs than lose a wildcard game then you should’ve been a Browns fan because they never even made the playoffs win Lewis was in Cincinnati. Obviously, he’s not a Hall of Fame coach but my goodness do y’all need to look around before complaining about an HC/QB duo that got it done at a historic level for the franchise. The Bengals have only made it to the playoffs in back-to-back seasons 3 times and Lewis and Dalton did it for 5 seasons with a little help from McCarron.

Sell the team and have a good night.

Literally none of this is true. Lou was the Giants d backs coach prior to being our DC. The talk at the time of his hiring was that Taylor was having an incredibly hard time finding assistant coaches and was scraping the bottom of the barrel bringing in Callahan and Lou. There is almost no chance Lou was the FO or Taylor’s first choice.

They may not have landed Burrow if Taylor didn’t go 6-25-1 in his first two seasons? Sure? But if you give him that, you are either saying he was so terrible those first two years they landed the top pick, or the FO was committed to a tank job in which case why would you give Taylor credit?

Hendrickson was not considered a premier free agent at time; there was a lot of discussion on if the team should have instead brought back Carl Lawson for the same kind of money. I haven’t seen anything to suggest Taylor instituted some kind of change of heart in the FO. If anything, that is a Blackburn move.

I’m not even suggesting people need to be fired, but I think you are giving props where none are due.

Zac Taylor has won 4 games without Joe Burrow, and lost 21 games without Joe Burrow. That’s a .160 win percentage.
