Being 6-6 going into the bye would have sounded like a pipe dream after being 1-4 and losing Jefferson to injury. Then, after being 4-4, losing Cousins – to manage a .500 record without those guys would have sounded ridiculous after that 5th week. So look at it with that perspective. Jefferson is too good and too important to risk hurting for no good reason. I say even if he’s 95%, rest him another week, let him get full participation in practice and shake off the rust.
