the later the game goes the worse he gets

he farms slow as fuck, like axe, his farming speed never increases throughout the game and it really shows in his items. he needs to farm heroes and end the game ,else he gets majorly kited and fucked

he lacks a natural itemisation after diffu and harpoon. if he doesnt go nullifier he cannot hit the targets he wants, such as enemy supports. if he doesnt go mkb, the carry can go butterfly and be immortal against him as well as shredding his bear. if he doesnt go the wraith band build his bear can get shredded by a slow + solar crest, and that money can be a basher to be better against bkbs

also he basically never buys bkb so they same way u counter a meepo can be applied here
