You dont see bear players everyday in a lot of brackets so it’s so easy to forget how annoying diffusal harpoon is on bear. You cant even do anyting and he pushes towers remarkably fast aswell.
What’s a good support to play against bear cause I was playing silencer vs ld recently and it did not end well for me.
Silencer and AA are food for any hero, you gonna pick those supports, you will accept that fact
There are many supports who can save themselves or waste the enemies time before they die or burst the enemy
However, you can have a workaround by not showing on the map against LD Get eul scepter and kite the bear to kill LD Also get rod of atos to hold the bear
LD lacks damage, catch and escape He will mostly rush damage and catch items, leaving the bear vulnerable to kiting If he goes bkb on bear, he will lack damage and/or catch
He can’t buy madness + deso + nullifier + ac + bkb in 15-20 mins, you should check his items, if he goes for an early nulli, get eul and use it on bear + rod of atos, if he goes for an early harpoon + bkb, get force + ghost scepter its important to check his items constantly Also he needs a scepter for the bear so there is always a workaround
Another point is to gank him in early levels 3-4 he is weak and killable with a bit of magic + stuns
Considering there’s Smurfs in every bracket, it’s safe to say that there are LD players/spammers in every bracket
For sure but I dont see many. And smurfs from what I have experienced often pick heroes like invoker , OD, Arc , tinker etc. at least on mid.
Why would you think silencer gets to do anything versus LD?
I mean, ghost scepter is a good solution. LD does not like buying nullifier early.

I spam Arc Warden and Lone Druid. Barely touched LD because Arc Warden is dominating so much harder. Somehow no one realizes. Oh well

I’m not even good at microing but I was 4-0 with him in 7.34 till I lost one game last night against mid bounty hunter of all things. fucker bought vanguard first item and my bear with diffusal was tickling him.
I heard Qojqva saying that you need high armor hero to counter LD on lane, so I picked Timbersaw, guess what? He shreded me on lane, I even bought wraith bands for amor, he just went right through me.
I honestly think LD is in a stage where only counter is what counters EVERY FCUKING HERO so shitton of stuns that will make him unable to attack. I don’t see 1 good mid option against this hero.
You play Timbersaw the wrong way then. 🤷🏻♂️
the later the game goes the worse he gets
he farms slow as fuck, like axe, his farming speed never increases throughout the game and it really shows in his items. he needs to farm heroes and end the game ,else he gets majorly kited and fucked
he lacks a natural itemisation after diffu and harpoon. if he doesnt go nullifier he cannot hit the targets he wants, such as enemy supports. if he doesnt go mkb, the carry can go butterfly and be immortal against him as well as shredding his bear. if he doesnt go the wraith band build his bear can get shredded by a slow + solar crest, and that money can be a basher to be better against bkbs
also he basically never buys bkb so they same way u counter a meepo can be applied here
I am a lone druid spammer divine player with 500+ games on the hero and 60% over all WR (70% last month).
I think it’s perfect for him to not be touched by this patch. He is good but only in the right hands. Like thinker… You just don’t pick lone druid and start owning just because… He is totally played against. But of course you need to have somewhat decent picks vs him and strategy. Justike PL will free win in late game if there is no illusion clear. Lone druid will stomp the early and mid if no proper solution is proposed.
Good supports vs him are:
-Dark willow. The brambles make It hard to advance with both units. Specially before shard on lone druid. Also the uncklicable spell of dark willow it’s good kiting.
-Sky it’s somewhat decent if you can silence and ult before lone druid ults. But if he catches you off ward you die instantly
-Witch doctor it’s by far the best support to kill lone druid given you know how to position properly. Lone druid survives because high armor and life steal. But doctor has pure damage and whith his shard he can’t hit you so no life steal. Also you can perma stun if you catch hero + bear with casket stun.
-Invoker even as support has too much kiting spells and lone druid does not really want to buy bkb.
-Pugna can be pretty decent with his high speed in lane. Hits a lot and has decrepify.
-Ancient apparition if hits its ultimate allows bear to not be survivable any more. Good lone druid players will avoid being hit by it. But many won’t.
The best thing to shut down lone druid is for you or your team to call when he resummons his bear in lane. If you gank him with the extra support or mid laner you ruin his game. If he loses 2 bears in a row. Or resummons + die it’s almost 2 min of being dead. Best time to gank him is around min 5:30 to 7. He usually gets difusal from min 7 ish if he rushes, so he won’t have it and will be lv 4 or 5. So no ult he dies easy. You can gank him 2 times in that time frame. Or gank + wait for his respawn and insta kill him. Usually you respawn and go careless again (not good players but most will do). Lone druid it’s the worst hero by far to die 2 times in a row.
If lone druid does not have good lane he does not recover at all by farming. He farms slow. Only way of recovering is by getting his good fights, so after doing this don’t be alone where he might be, stay with team and you can keep killing him because he will be weak and under lvled.
What I fucking hate about LD is his Diffusal cheese start. 2500g and he can fucking run anyone down.
dude that feeling when you’re farming peacefully somewhere, and then suddenly a bear charges at you slows you with diffu and you are just dead, like if you dont have a mobility spell or smthing the moment you see the bear and hear the diffu sound you just know you’re dead
hes one of those heros like huskar who can snowball super hard. but i honestly think hes fine . hes just abused by smurfers a lot so feels bit disheartening when you lose to a good ld. pre lev 7 hes so easily killable and lot of greedy lds max q w and are so killable if u smoke and grief his early game.
When lone Druid on my team it’s either the bear or the Druid forgets to come to lane
When lone Druid on the enemy team there’s somehow 12 bears chasing me down while the Druid sitting under the tower pumping iron in preparation for the possibility that the game might go late
Just pick drow ranger and right click the bear. I spam LD at 4k and drow ranger is my nemesis. Slow + Armor penetrating arrow and silence the hero before he ulti.
