I’m not going to go in to the Kirk/Josh debate here. We know what Kirk does, but we need to acknowledge that Dobbs adds an entire level to our game.

If you’re playing against Kirk you can watch for the pass knowing that a scramble is unlikely.

If you play against Dobbs you don’t know what you’re defending against.

He’s not the finished product, but my worry is that he seems comfortable to have a bit of a tussle with the defence. He’s not scared of them catching up on him and thinks he can shimmie his way out of a tackle.

We’ve seen that is true sometimes, but the more you feel like you can take on a tackle, the more you’re going to get caught out.

I’d like to see him getting the ball moving quicker - whether that is a pass or a run, just don’t let them near you while you’re behind the scrimmage.

    I feel like that play calling against Denver was KOC trying to get him to settle down a bit and pass first. Maybe the coach trying to find that balance between the two quarterbacks.
