"Today you’ll see some EXPERIMENTAL Vel’Koz changes on PBE.

Goal is to give him better defensive options by making E more reliable when cast at short range."

Changes:

E:

  • Travel time: .55s >>> variable, from .25s - .55s based on distance

  • missile spawns at Vel’koz’s location >>> missile spawns at cast location

  • No longer draws the circle indicator until after the .25s cast time (this will it hard to dodge if you can’t see him or aren’ paying attention)

  • Fixed a bug where the spell would fizzle when V’K flashes or is knocked back at max range

    I’m happy for Velkoz mains but why did the cast time need to speed up based on distance? As an artillery mage, shouldn’t he have a hard time peeling people that manage to get on top of him? Seems like a pretty decent buff to self-peeling.
