Just my own thoughts on the game, but good lord Mahomes is such an amazing player. This game reminded me of the the game we lost to the Bucs in the Super Bowl. Mahomes making great plays doing everything in his power to make the most out of every play, dodging amazing DL, and his ability to put the ball anywhere on the field he can make any throw. This game actually really was encouraging to me, because I guarantee if we replayed them in the Super Bowl we KNOW we can beat them and the weather conditions very very likely will not be so terrible so that our wr’s won’t have wet hands trying to catch a wet ball. We have a great chance at getting to the Super Bowl this year and we will most likely either play eagles or 49ers, both teams Mahomes knows he can beat. There isn’t a defense that can stop Mahomes and the wrs have a ton of time to get better at finishing the connections on the throws.
I think as a rule whenever a QB throws a redzone int that basically disqualifies you from having “an amazing game”. Very good still on the table, sure. But lets pump the breaks some here and just be real. Pat has been good this year but below his normal standards of his usual excellence. IMO anybody claiming otherwise is just being a homer unwilling to accept reality. There are only 4 other QBs with more interceptions than him this year.
