This is a common occurrence for me since I don’t have much time to play. I often get about halfway through and then stop playing for months. When I come back to it I always want to start from the beginning and then the cycle happens again.
One example for me is Fallout 4
Mirrors Edge. I always start to play it and enjoy it, but then get so far and then something comes up and it’s a while before I can go back. When I try to pick it back up I forget the controls (disarming and such) and need to redo the beginning levels to refresh myself a bit.
I think I’m on try #4 currently.
